I’m all about making my chores as enjoyable as possible. When I write out my grocery list or daily to-do list it needs to be on something pleasing to the eye. A stylish chic notepad or planner almost makes it something I look forward to.

As a third grader I was always down at the corner stationary store picking up the latest Hello Kitty school supplies. When I lent out my pencils I took down names because I wanted that stuff back!

As I got older it got to be a bit difficult to find more mature darling desk supplies in which to organize my day. There was a complete lull in college when all that was available was completely utilitarian with nary a flower in sight. I had a school day planner but it was so plain.

But yahoo! Office supplies have come full circle. Today there is an endless supply of cute, stylish, and chic papers, organizers, and notepads to make organizing your day something you look forward to. Here are some of my favorites...

Smart Timer

Klip Ultra Portable Timer When my 15 year old timer, with it's taped battery compartment got recruited to be a potty timing clock I looked elsewhere for a timer to help me manage my 15 minute activity bursts. Enter this Ultra Portable Timer by ThinkGeek Gadgets is a darling accompaniment to help keep you from procrastinating. Attach it to your fridge with the magnet, stand it on your countertop in the holder, hang it around your neck with the included lanyard or my favorite clip it from your belt loop. Also serves as a clock so you always know what time it is. Now I just have to make sure my husband doesn't snap it up on his way to work.

Fashionable Filing

Dandelion Fashionable File Folders

To distinguish mommy's business files from the family papers I have pretty, happy file folders for my stuff. These lovely file folders from Galison Mudpuppy fit the bill perfectly to add joy and delight to mommy's day.  They are so cute I hate to put them away but have a standing file box so you can still get a peak at them. I use them to organize bills, mail, and to-do's.  I also have a file tote for papers on the go.

Funky Clipboard

Pink and Brown Clipboard My husband got me started on clipboards. A great way to keep organized on the move  I can also prop them on the various hooks around the house as I work. BUT! I did have to distinguish between his and mine. Carrying not only just their ultra stylish planners momAgenda cute darling organizers for each area of your life.

Perfect Boxes

Toile Nested Stacking Boxes (set of 3) Emily Barnes called them 'Perfect Boxes' in her organizing books. I think she meant for them to be of a size to hold papers and such in the home office but once I discovered lovely, ultra feminine, fabric covered boxes (she advises covering them yourself which I have attempted with mixed results) I found all sorts of great ways to use them. Yes one sits on my desk to hold notepads and clips and things but the best use for my 'Perfect Box' has been to house my perfume collection. Starting very early in high school I have now have a perfume collection that needs it's own home. Perfume it to be kept out of the light. So I keep the current season's scents (yes I have that much) in a 'Perfect Box' on my dresser and the rest is put away in a not so perfect box. If you want to know my favorite is the discontinued, only brought out for special occasions Wrappings by Clinique. I've been wearing it since college.
